July 2019 Review

I thought I would do a monthly round up of my favorite things and what I did, kind of my way of tracking my interests and a summation of my month essentially. This month I... - Celebrated 4th of July with my family. - Saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Matt and I talked about this one a lot after we saw it. It doesn't feel like your typical Tarantino movie, it is a lot more leisurely in it's pacing. So if you haven't seen it, go in with expectations geared towards more a pace that builds atmosphere and focuses on a broader range of story. - Listened to lots of comedy radio on Pandora My favorites are Jim Gaffigan, John Mulaney, Brian Regan, and Demetri Martin. - Read Picnic at Hanging Rock I'm a huge fan of the 1975 film, and summer seemed like the perfect time to delve into the book. California Adventure 2018 - Part 3

Day 4 A little more leisurely start to the day as we headed to the Cabazon Dinosaurs, maybe you know them from Peewee's Big Adventure (when in Hollywood, visit fun movie locations). The Museum of Death was a spot we were both stoke

First we had to cross Kansas, our goal was to camp in Colorado that evening. We arrived in Colorado near dusk and at the first good sight of mountains we stopped to snap a few pictures before the sun was gone. We stopped again soon after because our chip bags we had packed had swollen with the pressure change and had popped open! It was at this stop I also found a couple of deer vertebrate and they rode home the rest of the way in the glove box. Near Alamosa, Colorado As often as possible, we wanted to sleep in my mountaineer to save a bit of money. (I say "want" but not everyone wanted to sleep in the car that much. Ahem. Sammi.)  I whipped up some window coverings for priv
